THREE CREEKS STATEMENT
On February 21st 2023, after many years of dreaming and listening for the future of Three Creeks, Gigi Coyle and Win Phelps transferred title of this 5 acre oasis to the Owens Valley Indian Water Commission, a tribal consortium of all 3 tribal nations in Payahuunadü. Together with core partners Teena Pugliese and Jen Schlaich, they formed the Three Creeks Collective, a team committed to the continued care of the 5-acre sanctuary. In collaboration with community members and growing partnerships, they will nurture and care for the land, water, structures, and culture of Three Creeks. Offering the water and land as a place of healing, cultural revitalization, beauty, food and medicine — a place to experience belonging with all peoples, with a focus on opening access and building connection back to the original peoples of Payahuundaü.
